# What is HarborOS

HarborOS is the contract intelligence layer for B2B SaaS finance teams. It replaces the spreadsheet that sits between your CRM, your accounting system, and your board deck — the one where your [ARR](/get-started/glossary), renewals, and forecast actually get built and reconciled by hand every cycle.

It works differently because everything is built from one place: your contracts. ARR, renewals, churn, expansion, retention, your forecast — none of them are kept and reconciled separately. Each is a view of the same contracts, so the numbers always agree, and every figure can be traced back to the contract behind it.

Your CRM tracks what your team is working on. Your accounting system records what already happened. HarborOS sits between them and tracks the contract's life — what's live, what's renewing, what's at risk — which is the part neither system models.
